The goal of Sun Peaks Fire and Rescue is to minimize the loss of life and property by helping people learn fire prevention and life safety skills. Our department utilizes a combination of career and volunteer staff to carryout a variety of educational programs, some of which are described below.

Fire Prevention

Sun Peaks Fire Rescue began conducting voluntary “Commercial Fire and Life Safety Surveys” in 2007. These involve working with the owners and managers of commercial structures to ensure that the public buildings they represent provide the highest level of life safety for the staff and visitors who use them.

Fire & Life Safety Programs

Fire and life safety education is an important aspect of programs designed to prevent fire, injury and death. Sun Peaks Fire & Rescue is pleased to offer a variety of fire and life safety educational programs for all ages. These include:
